Welcome to lhalhukw’ siiye’yu

Welcome to lhalhukw’ siiye’yu, a site about birds in the Hul’q’umi’num’ World

We are Coast Salish. Our home is along the Salish Sea on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, and the neighboring islands. The Hul’q’umi’num’ dialect is spoken by the Snaw-naw-as, Snuneymuxw, Stz’uminus, Penelakut, Halalt, Quw’utsun’, and Malahat people and their relatives living among the neighbouring Coast Salish peoples.
